Ed W. McBee grew up in Kansas and moved with his family to Washington State at the tender age of 14. After a brief stint in Alaska, Ed now resides in southwestern Oregon and runs a business in the beautiful Historic Landmark District of Jacksonville, Oregon.

After more then 40 years of travel along the west coast, afoot, afloat, and a-wheeled,  Ed has compiled a lavishly illustrated travel guide describing the myriad roads and attractions along the backbone of Oregon, the Pacific Crest Trail.

“A Twisting Journey” follows a road route shadowing the PCT through Southern Oregon from the California state line north to Willamette Pass. “A Twisting Journey Continues” is a romp through Northern Oregon following the PCT to Washington State. I hope to share with others my passion for adventure and discovery through the descriptions, photos and hand-drawn maps contained in the companion Guides
